Vijay Datt speaks during Upper School Community meeting

During our High School Community Meeting, students heard from Vijay Datttalk about his experience both as a successful healthcare executive and as a spiritual leader.

Mr. Datt earned his MBA from Kellogg School of Management. He is a multi-faceted tech leader with extensive experience in corporate strategy, business development, operations, financial and strategic planning . He has broad experience in applying technology across US healthcare ecosystem. He is currently working as a Director at Microsoft and before taking this position, he was a Chief Operating Officer at Calibrated HealthCare and prior to that he was a Jr. Partner at one of the renowned consulting firms in the world, McKinsey & company where he advised C-suite executives of prominent national and regional leaders of healthcare industry.

On his personal front, he started his spiritual quest at a very young age, when he was 13 years old and has been practicing spirituality and mantra meditation for more than 30 years. He was a full time missionary for 9 years right out of undergrad. During this time he was part of the founding team of Akshayapatra, India's biggest nonprofit that feeds hot meals to 1.8 million poor school children daily out of 51 kitchens across India. He is a passionate reader, learner, speaker of vedic literature and philosophy. To share his knowledge and spread the goodness of our culture to the broader community in the US, he has started a non-profit India Heritage Foundation in the Bay Area, which is working on an iconic 80 acre spiritual and cultural center right here in Milpitas. The Foundationprimarily focuses on promoting Indian heritage, culture and Vedic knowledge and in instilling deep values and character building in everyday lives of our children and our youth to make them responsible citizens and valuable assets to our communities. He has delivered more than 200 speeches on the subjects of spiritual well-being, Indian vedic philosophy and mantra meditation.
