Applications for the 2026-27 School Year
Please contact Admissions regarding the possibility of a late application for your child’s grade level:
We welcome applications from students and families who are excited about Khan Lab School’s mission and eager to contribute to our learning community. Students applying to Kindergarten should be 5 years old by September 1 of the year of entry. Students applying to Transitional Kindergarten should be 4 years old by June 1 of the year of entry.

1. Create a Ravenna Account
Account set up in Ravenna
2. Preliminary Application
Submit in Ravenna, including $100 application fee
3. Student Questions (Grades 4-5)
Short essay questions submitted in Ravenna
4. Student Video (Grades 6-11)
2-3 minute student video introduction video uploaded in Ravenna
5. School Reports
- Kindergarten: Progress reports or other documentation from a child’s current school
- Grade 1: Report cards from current and previous school years
- Grades 2-11: Report cards for current and two previous school years
6. Teacher Evaluations
- Kindergarten: One current teacher evaluation
- Grades 1-6: One current teacher and one teacher from last year (two evaluations total)
- Grades 7-11: One Math/Science and one English/Humanities teacher evaluation. Must be from your student’s current teachers at your current school. An additional optional teacher evaluation may be submitted
7. Counselor/Principal Evaluation (Grades 6-11)
Evaluation from your student’s counselor or principal at your current school
8. Parent/Guardian Conversation
The Admissions Team will provide instructions for scheduling after the preliminary application has been submitted.
9. Student Visit
Applicants who submit a Preliminary Application will be invited to attend a student visit.
