Applications for the 2027-28 School Year
We welcome applications from students and families who are excited about Khan Lab School’s mission and eager to contribute to our learning community. Students applying to Kindergarten should be 5 years old by September 1 of the year of entry. Students applying to Transitional Kindergarten should be 4 years old by June 1 of the year of entry.

1. Create a Ravenna Account
Account set up in Ravenna
2. Preliminary Application
Submit in Ravenna, including $100 application fee
3. Student Video (Grades 4-11)
Upload a short video introduction in Ravenna
4. School Reports/Transcripts
- TK/Kindergarten: Preschool progress reports from a student's current school
- Grades 1–11: Official report cards or transcripts for current and previous year(s)
5. Teacher Evaluations
- TK/ Kindergarten: One current teacher evaluation (optional additional teacher evaluation may be submitted)
- Grades 1–5: Two teacher evaluations — current teacher and last year's teacher
- Grades 6–11: Two current teacher evaluations — one Math/Science and one English/Humanities
6. Counselor/Principal Evaluation (Grades 6-11)
Evaluation from your student’s counselor or principal at your current school
7. Student Visit
Applicants who submit a Preliminary Application and supplementary documents will be invited to attend a student visit.
8. Parent/Guardian Conversation
Parents/Guardians of applicants who have submitted their Preliminary Application and supplementary documents will be invited to attend a parent/guardian conversation.
