Community Seminar Explores Hunger Relief in Schools

Representatives from the world's largest NGO school meal program, an organization calledAkshaya Patra, connected virtually with our students and staff at Community Seminar on Wednesday, May 20. The program serves 1.8 million hot, nutritious meals to government school students throughout India every day. Our students learned about how serving others can make a lasting impact, particularly for socioeconomically challenged students who depend on the program for food.

During the Q&A with Akshaya Patra, our students asked insightful questions about the organization's operations, future hunger relief goals, and the impact of COVID-19 on their work. Students inspired to get involved are encouraged to explore involvement opportunities onthe organization's website.
