With the formation of Khan Lab School's Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (EIJ) Teamthis school year, our High School students have been involved in efforts to examine how these issues resonate with our own community.

At ourHigh School Community Meeting on Wednesday, December 2, student leaders shared about what they are doing to support equity, inclusion, and justice at KLS. Following student leader introductions, our EIJ Team, co-ledby KLS team members Brandon Lee, Michael Hurley, and Natalie Johnson, kicked off the Zoom meeting by introducing some key concepts related to EIJ. Our students led the next portion of the event, sharing data about our school community from a recent climate survey.

Our students then gathered in Advisory groups to discuss the results of the survey with thoughtful prompts provided by the EIJ Team. By breaking into smaller groups, our students were given the time and space to share their thoughts and think about what next steps could look like for our school community.

We are proud of our students for contributing to the KLS communityand for being stewards of our community values.
