Students Capture Oral History with Veteran Bill Ribble

IL5 Students Volunteer to Complete Oral History Interview

A group of IL5 students volunteered to complete an oral history interview over video conference with Bill Ribble, a Vietnam War veteran that virtually visited KLS Humanities sections earlier this Term. The oral history interview included learning more about Bill's background and a student-led Q&A. Students asked about memorable experiences from service, life on an aircraft carrier, and sociopolitical impacts ofthe Vietnam War.

During the video conference, students also saw glimpses of the past in photos, including the kinds of aircraft Bill operated and family photos. Bill plans to keep the oral history project recording to share with family members in the future.
