Community Blanket Drive for Project Linus

Our most recent Family Community Service event, organized by our Family Association, brought our community together in support of youth hospital patients. Families and students were asked to make blankets at home and drop off donated items to an outdoor drop-box on-campus.

Over the course of several weeks, our community made children's blankets as gifts to babies and kids staying at local hospitals, hospices, and family shelters, in partnership withProject Linus, a non-profit organization with chapters across the United States.

An update about the effort from our Family Association:

"Good news! Our school community, with some planning and effort, was able to hand-make and donate a total of 25 adorable blankets for local children in need. ProjectLinusrecipients include organizations such as El Camino Hospital NICU, Ronald McDonald House, and Safe House Hollister.

Thank you, KLS Families, for turning a fun, family activity into a heartwarming and much needed gift for little ones!"
