Bay Area Case Studies Workshop + College Fair

Friday, January 31, 2020

The Bay Area Case Studies Workshop and College Fair will take place on Wednesday, April 22nd, from 6:15pm-9:30pm at Sacred Heart Preparatory School.

This annual event  brings nearly 100 colleges and universities together to meet with local high school juniors and their parents. This year KLS has been invited to join 10 other local high schools including Castilleja, Crystal Springs Uplands, Eastside College Preparatory, Kehlihah Jewish High School, Menlo School, Nueva School, Pinewood School, Sacred Heart Preparatory, Woodside Priory

During the event, attendees will be divided into smaller groups and admissions representatives will walk them through several college applications. These workshops provide insight into what an admissions reader looks for in an application and walk through how they ultimately make a decision of "admit," "deny," or "waitlist." Parents and students should come away from the event with a better understanding of how applications are holistically reviewed.

After the Case Studies workshop, there will be a private college fair for just the students and parents of the participating high schools.

Prior to this event, Janan, Director of College Counseling & Internships, will hold a meeting for IL7 parents and students where she will give tips and help prepare for making the most out of this special event. More details to come!
